How an energy-intensive industry can make its commitment to the energy transition a reality

  • $11.5 M invested
  • 76% in reduced GHG emissions
  • 14% in reduced energy consumption

The starting challenge

IBM is one of Canada’s largest technology companies, and its Bromont, Quebec plant is the world’s largest semiconductor packaging and test facility. Committed to sustainable development, IBM has set ambitious goals to meet global environmental challenges.

Innovative financing solutions for energy efficiency initiatives

IBM chose to work with SOFIAC to further reduce its carbon footprint by decarbonizing its infrastructures in Quebec. The SOFIAC financial offer was also advantageous in terms of expected return and debt qualification.
